Jay-z and his company, Roc Nation, have released the imprint book. He is getting into the literary world. Hov has partnered with Random House to form a book called Roc Lit 101.
“The venture will encompass “books at the dynamic intersection of entertainment and genre-defying literature.” The initial releases slated for next summer include Till the End, a memoir by former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, and Danyel Smith’s Shine Bright, a story of Black women in music,” The Associated Press.
Chris Jackson, publisher and editor-in-chief, and Jana Fleishman, executive Vice President of Roc Nation, will be over Roc Lit 101 by creating books that will draw closer to pop culture. It will create produced work that will entertain the readers that will also stick with the issues. We don’t know if Jay-Z and Beyonce will put their stories in the book but we can’t wait to see or read it.
