Bonnaroo has announced that they will be having their festival that will be held in Manchester, Tennessee on Labor Day weekend from Thursday, September 2 to Sunday, September 5. For the four day festival, Megan Thee Stallion, Lizzo, Tyler, The Creator will be headlining this year’s festival. Other artists will be at the festival such as Lil’ Baby, Janelle Monae, Young Thug, Jack Harlow, G-Eazy, Kevin Gates, JID and Flo Milli. As this year a lot of states will be opening up in spite of COVID-19, more festivals have been announced as more people are getting vaccinations to be more safe around people. The music industry has been very quiet in spite of the performance and concert levels have been on the low for over a year now.
Megan Thee Stallion has been making noise with the release of her debut album, Good News, that was released in December of 2020. She has won three Grammy’s with the hit single “Savage” featuring Beyoncé. We might be getting a new album from the Houston hottie since the festival is in a few months. She recently performed at the Grammy’s with the Billboard chart single “Body” mix with the remix of “Savage” by giving us a vintage Vegas vibe set.
Lil’ Baby has been one of the hottest rappers up-to-date with the relentless lyrics coming from Atlanta. Baby has recently performed at the Grammy’s with the charting single “The Biggest Picture” as it expresses the topic about violence with African-Americans and the police brutality. I wonder what the Atlanta native will be doing for his performance come Sunday, September 5 at the festival. Will we be getting a new album or songs prior to the festival?
Peep the line up and see if you will be taking that trip to Manchester to watch a live concert for the first time post pandemic. Will you be attending?
